Zimbabwe Mining Indaba 2011
The mining industry in Zimbabwe has been going through very interesting developments over the past 2 years since the Mining Indaba began. The potential of the mining industry in Zimbabwe is unparalleled globally with forecasted production growth rates of 44% for 2011. The mining houses have made huge investments into their operations in the past 18 months.
The developments continue, with amendments to the Mining and Minerals Act about to be legislated, the Indigenisation Regulations for the mining sector has been released, a Sovereign Fund is about to be established and beneficiation policy is being drafted.
