CA Global: IT and Telecommunications (Africa) has a position available for an Senior Network Engineer.
The position will be based in the Nigeria.
Reports to: Network Manager
Overall Purpose of the Position: : To Support The client’s Network Infrastructure, New Implementations, Daily monitoring, maintenance, support Other Departments when and if required.
Minimum Requirements
CCNP + Studying towards CCIE (Proof may be required)
4+ Years Cisco Networking Experience ISP Experience Advantageous.
BGP/OSPF Experience Required.
VOIP
Network Optimization Devices.
Network Caching Devices.
Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution Level 3 – 4 – 5.
Key Competencies
Equipment Layout and Installations.
Cabling – Installing, Testing and Maintaining.
Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution.
Documentation and Diagraming Skills (Visio or other Technical Drawing packages)
Good Communication Skills.
Attention to Detail.
Customer Relationship Management – Internal and External.
R&D and Consultancy Skills - Able to understand requirement and build a solid Solution.
Report Generation and Interpretation.
Key Performance Areas
Access Switch Monitoring and Maintenance
Core Network Device Configuration/Maintenance and Monitoring.
Multi – POP Location Monitoring and Management.
Network Optimization Device Maintenance and Monitoring.
Documentation Management.
Network Performance Optimization.
Customer Relationship Management – Internal and External.
Client Alerts – Status Notifications.
Report Generation and Interpretation.
