CA Global: Energy (Africa Positions) – my international client, which focuses most of their business operations on the energy sector, is starting up a new Greenfields project in Sierra Leone. They are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to assist with their operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics or a related field.
8 to 10 years’ experience in working in a purchasing environment, of which 5 years must be as a procurement manager in a large corporate organization or business.
Must have proven success leading a purchasing function in a manufacturing environment.
Supervisory experience in leading and developing a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for meeting the procurement and supply chain needs of the operation (project).
Maintenance of the procurement information system, ethical codes and practices.
Overseeing the tendering and contracting procedures.
Management of a staff function that will support the procurement system.
Development and maintenance of a procurement reporting system.
