Description

Our client is a diversified group based in Khartoum, Sudan.

The Operations Excellence Manager is primarily focused on driving companywide quality systems and lean management initiative efforts primarily focused on Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Delivery. The Operations Excellence Manager will act as a subject matter expert to analyse, plan, and implement process improvement needs.

Key accountabilities

- Evaluates and models existing processes and produces new process improvement techniques and services.
- Responsible for benchmarking and providing competitive analyses of peer group best in class and competition practices.
- Consults, organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional initiatives including: mapping business processes, gathering and analysing process data to identify root cause problems, identifying areas of process improvements, and use of process techniques to develop solutions to improve and enable measurable results in process efficiency, customer satisfaction, product quality, and financial savings.
- Develops metrics that provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities and prepares teams with the tools, infrastructure, etc. to help determine solutions.
- Facilitate the development of a well-conceived kaizen/projects roadmap and 6-Sigma plan which supports strategic priorities.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in continuous improvement events in support of safety, quality, delivery, cost and customer satisfaction goals.
- Following personal mastery of VSM, problem solving, transactional, TPM, 3P and standard work kaizen tools, facilitate the training and development of the local team on these core tools.
- Maintain project/process documentation including tracking of results
carry out diagnostics and develop procedures that can be used to streamline processes and increase productivity on a continual basis
- You will establish common standards using developed methods, tools and processes by identifying and disseminating best practice methods and tools
- Direct a team responsible for planning, analysing and coordinating business operations programs to insure flawless performance.
- Act as single point of contact for the business organization, enterprise and IT on creation and improvement of processes and provide metrics that give insight into the health and operating efficiencies, effectiveness of those processes.
- Establish strong collaborative working relationships with internal constituents whose support are critical in ensuring successful operational performance – including information technology, contact centers, store operations, logistics and loss prevention.
- Provide leadership for the OBU Learning and Communications team to ensure Business Events, Programs and New initiatives are communicated and that the necessary training plans are in place.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Mgmt or any related field
- Highly Proficient in MS Excel . ERP and MRP Experience a plus, and process management tools.
- Bilingual Arabic/ English is required. Fluent in written and spoken English & presentation skills
