Materials Engineer (Asphalt/Road/Highway/Consulting)
A civil engineering consultancy with projects all over the world, are currently looking for an experienced Materials Engineer to join their team on an asphalt road/highway project that they are currently undertaking in Tanzania. European candidates are encouraged to apply for this role and will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to prepare asphalt and concrete mixes.
- Know all Q/C tests for soil, concrete and asphalt.
- Conduct and supervise tests on raw materials or finished products in order to ensure their quality.
- Design and direct the testing and/or control of processing procedures.
- Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors relating to process or product design objectives.
- Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in Geology or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years experience in the industry
- Experience in Sub – Saharan Africa is strongly preferred but not a necessity
- Experience working with a multicultural team will be strongly advantageous
