CA Global: IT and Telecommunications (Africa) has a position available for an Junior Network Engineer.
The position will be based in the Nigeria.
Reports to: Network Manager
Overall Purpose of the Position: To Support THE Network Infrastructure, New Implementations, daily monitoring and maintenance, support Other Departments when and if required.
Minimum Requirements:
CCNA
1 Year Cisco Networking Experience.
Routing and Switching Experience 1 year
Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution Level 1 – 2
Network Caching/Optimization Devices Advantageous.
Essential Requirements:
Software Development Diploma
Experience using PHP, MySQL, Python, Perl or Subversion
Solid understanding of BPM
Experience using the latest .NET technologies such as LINQ, Entity Framework, WPF, WCF and Dynamic Data Controls
Key Competencies:
Equipment Layout and Installations.
Cabling – Installing, Testing and Maintaining.
Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution.
Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution.
Documentation and Diagraming Skills (Visio)
Good Communication Skills.
Attention to Detail.
Customer Relationship Management – Internal and External.
Report Generation and Interpretation.
Key Performance Areas:
Access Switch Monitoring and Maintenance
Documentation Management.
Network Performance Optimization.
Basic Network Tasks Not covered above.
Customer Relationship Management – Internal and External.
Client Alerts – Status Notifications.
Report Generation.
