Introduction
Assume responsibility for the management of the Ugandan mixed asset investment portfolios. To make the necessary portfolio decisions based on market knowledge, thorough research and interaction with the rest of the Pan African investment team.
Responsibilities
To make the necessary portfolio decisions based on market knowledge, thorough research and interaction with the rest of the Pan African investment team.
Deliver consistent out-performance for the various funds and client mandates in line with defined benchmarks.
Act as the figurehead for the existing Investors, Consultants and Trustees.
Lead all investment report backs and investment communication within the local market.
Asset Raising: Prepare investment content for new proposals, be involved with key business presentations and explore/develop new asset management opportunities.
Overall responsibility for the Asset Management Business Unit (with the assistance of Group support) including but not limited to setting and achieving financial budgets, management of operations and support personnel, liaison with Regulators etc
Requirements
CFA or ASIP qualified.
East African National looking to be based in Kampala.
No less than 8 years relevant investment experience.
The role requires team players who are self-driven and motivated.
A good command of English, both written and verbal is a requirement of the job.
