Description
CA Global Power and Energy (Africa Careers) is currently sourcing on behalf of their client for a Chief Executive Officer (Power project / Power station) – Zimbabwe
Overview
Excellent knowledge of combined cycle power plants is an essential requirement for this role with the Ability and proven experience in the power sector at executive level reporting to a board of directors. This position is well suited for individuals who have worked in Africa or similar geographical regions previously and are familiar with multi-cultural work environments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare medium and long-term budget forecasts. Monitor and report budget variances and deviations from forecasts on a regular basis.
- Ensure the progress of the construction works by respecting the various milestones and ensure that the budget caps are not exceeded.
- Report the evolution of the project company to the Board of Directors and the shareholder companies as and when required.
- Human Resources Management of the Company
- Coordinating on relevant matters with the General Manager of the O&M Company
Requirements: Qualifications and Skills
- Engineering degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, MBA (desirable)
- Proven experience in public and third parties relationships experience
- Minimum 15 years professional experience in the Power sector of which several have been in a senior management capacity
- Excellent knowledge of combined cycle power plant technology
- Strong financial background with excellent communication and leadership skills
Contractual information:
- 3 year contract
